Plenary Sessions and Keynotes

Keynotes and plenary sessions will be held in the auditorium, which has a limited seating capacity. Seats will be available on a first come first served basis. The sessions will be streamed to the other rooms at the MOME Campus.

Presenting Authors

At least one presenter for each paper is requested to be present onsite and fully registered for the conference.

General Assembly

Registration for the General Assembly (members only, one representative per school) will be open later and handled by the Cumulus Association Secretariat.

Consents

By registering, participants acknowledge and agree that their contributions (comments on the online platform, questions asked during the sessions in person or online, etc.) during their attendance at the Cumulus Budapest 2024 conference may be recorded by a member of the conference organising team. This content may be distributed or published at the discretion of the organisers. By participating in the conference, the presenter acknowledges and agrees that their presentation slides may be photographed and shared on social media by other attendees. Should they wish not to share their presentation with external audiences, the author should include this image in their presentation slides or poster.

MOME is collaborating with subcontractors and external parties to create a comprehensive overview of the conference programme, interactions, and events. Accordingly, please note that you may be filmed or photographed at any time (e.g. in the session rooms as well as the poster area and during the breaks) and any presentation you deliver may be recorded. By registering to the conference, attendees agree to the publication of the above-mentioned photo/video material on conference-related websites or printed matters.

The personal data entered will be used solely for the conference organisation and registration process, and the list of delegates. Contact details collected will only be used to contact the conference participants for matters directly and only related to the conference. In no event will data be shared with third parties. The data will be retained until all matters related to the conference have been dealt with. Cancellation Policy

Before 1 April 2024:50% of the selected ticket type will be refunded. To request a refund, please send an email to cumulusbudapest2024@mome.hu. All refunds are made in Euros. The organisation cannot refund any shortfalls resulting from exchange rate fluctuations or bank charges.

After 1 April 2024: No refunds will be made, but you have the option to change to virtual attendance. If a registered attendee is unable to attend the Cumulus Budapest 2024 conference, their registration may be transferred to another person at the same institution or organisation who is not yet registered for the conference, at no additional charge. Transfers can be requested via cumulusbudapest2024@mome.hu.

For virtual/online attendance, no refund is possible.

Visa Invitation Letters

Invitation letters for delegates will only be provided once payment for delegate fees has been made. Invitation letters for accepted authors can be provided on request once their submission is approved.

Disclaimer

Cumulus Budapest 2024 will take place as a partly hybrid event.

Keynotes and plenary sessions will be held in the Master Building Auditorium, which has a limited seating capacity. Seats will be available on a first come first served basis. The sessions will be streamed online and to the other rooms.

Please note that not all sessions will be streamed online, only sessions held in the Master Building Auditorium.

If the conference cannot take place as an in-person event due to an ordinance from the authorities or force majeure, the organising committee may decide to cancel the on-site part of the Cumulus Budapest 2024 conference upon short notice and move the conference to the virtual space. In such a case, organisers will make every effort to stream all parallel sessions online and enable online participation and delivery of paper presentations. Also, all on-site registrations for the conference will be changed to virtual registrations for a purely virtual conference. Such attendees will be reimbursed for the difference in registration fees. In any case including this one, Cumulus Budapest 2024 will not be liable for any subsequent claims for any other reimbursements (e.g. attendees' travel or accommodation costs). For authors who are unable to join us in Budapest due to travel restrictions in their own countries, arrangements will be made to enable presentation of their papers and posters in a limited virtual conference session.

Cumulus Budapest 2024 reserves the right to change parts of the programme of the event for which the participant has registered, to the extent that these changes can be deemed reasonable and fair.

Payment

All registration fees must be fully paid prior to the conference. If the conference fees have not been paid before the beginning of the conference, the participant will not be allowed to enter the conference venue.

Insurance

The registration fee does not include insurance of any kind. The organisers cannot accept any responsibility or liability for injuries or losses resulting from any cancellations, accidents, illness, or other occurrences that may arise in connection with the conference or its social events. Participants are advised to take out their own travel and health insurance.
